ST PATRICK'S DAY NEIGHBORHOOD NO PARKING SIGN INSTALL + HAPPY HOUR!
The Dallas St. Patrick's Day Parade on Greenville Avenue is right around the corner! As a neighborhood, we need to work together to make and place the signs that keep our streets navigable during this huge influx of parade goers.
This is a great way to get involved and meet your neighbors. A few extra hands go a LONG way when it comes to this kind of work!
Please join us on March 12th at 5353 Bonita Ave at 4:30pm to spread and help place signs on the appropriate streets! Please bring a rubber mallet or hammer if you have one! Head to Gloria's for a volunteer Happy Hour afterwards!

PET OF THE MONTH

Pet of the Month: Ruby
Meet March’s super cute Pet of the Month, Ruby, affectionately known as Ruby Girl. Ruby is very friendly, with a dash of crazy, in the best way possible. Her favorite toy is her Christmas Pickle and her favorite treats are no-hide beef flavoured bones.
Ruby's proud owners, Tiffani and Corey, have lived in Vickery Place since 2011. They love this charming, pet friendly neighborhood and you’ll often spot them strolling down Warcola with Ruby leading the way. If you see them out and about be sure to say hello and congratulate Ruby on being March Pet of the Month.
Our March Pet of the Month winner will receive a gift card to Pet Supplies Plus. We hope they use it for something fun!

YARD OF THE MONTH - 5552 Miller Ave

Congratulations to Karen and Phil of 5552 Miller Ave., Vickery Place’s March Yard of the Month! Since moving into Vickery Place two years ago, they’ve fully embraced their new community. Along with their dogs, Coco (as in Chanel) and Lily, they’ve become familiar faces on neighborhood walks and local gatherings, building strong, supportive connections with friends and neighbors.
Our winners put significant work into transforming their home and beautiful corner lot — both inside and out. The front and back yards were completely re-landscaped with structured beds that frame the home and feature hydrangeas, Texas sage, Japanese maples, and low ground cover. The clean layout gives the home a polished, cohesive look while keeping it welcoming and livable. We saw many new buds forming during our late February meeting with Karen and Phil and cannot wait to see what the spring blooming season reveals for them.
From their side porch swing, our winnerscan enjoy the view of their front garden and the neighborhood activity. Out back, a thoughtfully designed pool area creates a great space to relax in sun or shade and gather with friends. Karen and Phil have created a home that reflects both pride of ownership and a genuine love for the Vickery Place community. Underscoring their community-centric mindfulness, we had the opportunity to brainstorm the idea of a Vickery Place community garden with our winners. What a great idea, don’t you think? Who’s in?
Congratulations again to our neighbors at 5552 Miller. Winning Yard of The Month is not easy and winning in winter is impressive!
We also wish to thank North Haven Gardens for their continued generous sponsorship of our Vickery Place neighborhood beautification efforts. Karen and Phil will receive a $50 gift certificate from North Haven Gardens as this month’s winners!
