Feb 2020: 5357 Vickery

Congratulations to our February Yard of the Month, Thomas Bellinger of 5357 Vickery! A Dallas native, 2020 will mark his tenth year as a Vickery Place neighbor and the 100th year of his home!

Although Thomas started his career as a CPA, he soon realized his passion for real estate and design and has focused on connecting people to their homes in East Dallas. This past year he brought that same enthusiasm to his own home that he shares with Paisley (a golden lab) and Kip (his first foster Husky that he adopted, pictured) and redid the inside and outside of his home.

From his Corinthian-columned wraparound porch (a favorite house feature) he can enjoy the view of perennial classics like variegated pittosporum, softly framed by hard-working liriope with splashes of purples, yellows, pinks and reds from ornamental kale and pansies.

Thomas is most excited about his Japanese Maples (“they were a must!”) – graceful and elegant, Japanese Maples can offer something for every season – fiery spring reds to lush summer greens to autumn oranges and red winter bark.
