This year marks the 29th Annual “National Night Out Against Crime." Each year VPNA makes a huge effort to gather as many neighbors as possible for our annual National Night Out Against Crime block party. At the Block Party we enjoy food, entertainment, a raffle, and most importantly, an opportunity to get to know our neighbors and build our community! (Pics from 2011)
New to our National Night Out Block Party this year we will have food trucks! Joining us are Ruthie Rolling Cafe specializing in amazing sandwiches on artisan bread with fine cheeses,Rockstar Bakery delighting with whoopie pies, and Jo Dawg's Food Truck serving custom hot dogs, links, polish sausages & bratwurst.
As for beverages, we'll have bottled water donated by Dallas Council Woman (and M-Streets neighbor) Angela Hunt, soft drinks, and two kegs of beer (Rock Ryder (American Rye Wheat) and Lakewood Lager (Vienna-Style Lager)) from the Lakewood Brewing Company.
And for entertainment, back by popular demand is Vickery Place resident Salim Nourallah. You will also have the chance to visit with our local Dallas Police Department officers, our City Council Members and other City of Dallas representatives.
Admission to the NNO Block Party is free, but be sure to bring some cash for food trucks, games, kids’ activities, and raffle tickets. Beer will be available for a donation.
Local businesses have generously donated raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are $1 each and include:
VPNA will also have an information table where you can purchase Vickery Place t-shirts and glasses and sign up for our crime watch e-newsletter and get your car sticker.
Hope to see you there and please tell your neighbors!
