Restaurants and bars in Vickery Place... or living on the edge

One of the greatest things about Vickery Place is that you can walk to some of the greatest restaurants in Dallas.  7 of the top 10 restaurants in Dallas are within walking distance, and there are dozens of other little bistros, bars, and cafes to suit your craving.

The Grape Open for over 35 years, voted most romantic restaurant many years running, and Dallas' Original Wine Bistro.
The Blue Goose Best Beef Fajitas in town.  There's nothing better than grabbing a margarita and some mexican food on their porch, checking out the classic cars and bikes when the weather's perfect on a Sunday afternoon. Take out is super fast, and you will barely have enough time to drink your margarita at the bar before it's ready.
Tei Tei Robata Yes, it's yet another sushi bar in Dallas, but they're actually known for their cooked food more than their raw fish (Robata is Japanese hearthside cooking.) Try the marinated Sea Bass and the Washu Beef on the Rock.
Teppo Tei Tei's sister restaurant. Teppo is the place if you're in the mood for the traditional sushi.
Terilli's Fantastic lasagna big enough to split with your date, and live Jazz most nights
The Hurricane Grill Live band 7 days a week, usually classic rock from 10pm - 2am.
Cuba Libre Decent cuban food in a stylish two-story building.
The Old Monk Love their lentil soup. Probably the most authentic European pub in town, and always hopping, even REALLY late.  Wish it was dog friendly.
Hector's Another fine restaurant, offering live Jazz and gourmet dishes.
Hibiscus Very trendy restaurant and nightspot.
The Porch The latest trendy bar in Vickery Place
Cafe Brazil Open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays. Great place for late late night eating.
Mick's Bar
Vickery Park Bar Gourmet bar food.  Inside is a bit dark and smokey, but the front porch is a great place to sit and people-watch, and it's dog friendly.
The Dubliner Best Guinness on tap in town! Center of the Universe on St Paddy's Day
Greenville Bar & Grill A Dallas landmark, having served Vickery Place since 1933, back when Greenville Ave was a main highway to Oklahoma!

Bars and Restaurants that wish they were in Vickery Place, but are close enough to walk to if you're lucky enough or smart enough to live in Vickery Place  ;-)

Capitol Pub Great Bar food, great patio, great beer.  And dog friendly too.
Abacus
One of the best restaurants in the whole Metroplex, and the flagship restaurant of Iron Chef winner Kent Rathbun. You have to try the Lobster Shooters!
Sangria Tapas Y Bar
I miss Hola's Tapas, but this new bar and restaurant is a decent replacement.  Check this place out if you're looking for something young, hip, and loud.
Toulouse Cafe and Bar
Les soufflés are to die for!
St Martin's Wine Bistro
With old French charm, St Martin's is vying for Most Romantic Restaurant.  Take your date in the evning, or take your parents here for Sunday brunch when they're visiting from out of town.
Cafe Izmir Best hummus in town, and a great lunchtime spot for authentic gyros.
