Spectacular new public gardens in Dallas

Rebecca Sherman's Houses Gardens People blog has a fabulous discussion of wonderful new public gardens in Dallas.

These include the newly opened gardens at the University of Texas Dallas, designed by the same firm that created the gardens at the Nasher Sculpture Center. Coming soon are three other major gardens all within a couple miles of Vickery Place: The gardens at the Perot Museum of Nature & Science, the gardens at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, and the Park over Woodall Rogers. At left is a rendering of one of the planned public gardens (with wholly indigenous flora), a little over one mile away from the boundary of Vickery Place and easily within walking distance.
