In-N-Out is moving in to the neighborhood, and it’s going to be crazy. The newest Texas store from the cultish fast-food chain opens at Caruth Haven and Central at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 23. The property manager for the building at 8080 N. Central Expressway, which is leasing parking spaces to In-N-Out, sent a memo to its tenants detailing the forthcoming In-N-Out madness. On opening day, according to the memo, as many as nine Dallas police officers — nine! — will be directing traffic. Plus, In-N-Out also has hired a private security company to help with traffic and “any other issues that may arise”. There will be four lanes of traffic — four lanes! — coming in the south side of the building from the Central Expressway access road to the drive-through window. In-N-Out has leased space in four parking lots in the area for the next three months because of the expected demand for In-N-Out hamburgers. For those In-N-Out dissenters, God love you, may I humbly suggest avoiding Caruth Haven for the next few months and instead finding the best fast-food burger in Texas.
